| CASE STUDY #5: U.S. Fish & Wildlife Department |
|
Customer: U.S. Fish & Wildlife Department Event: Mold Contamination Service: Mold Remediation In the fall of 2008, the US Fish & Wildlife Office called in a hygienist to perform tests in its Tulsa office. Mold was growing behind the commercial grade vinyl wallpaper on most of the wall surfaces in the building. The mold resulted when window seals in the building were compromised and spray from the lawn sprinkler system together with rain water intruded into the structure. Remediation was performed under the auspices of the federal government, it was necessary for TRC to follow strict protocols established by the General Services Administration (GSA) creating a critical path to completion through all phases of the project from demolition through reconstruction. All operations were monitored by collaborating hygienists employed to meet exacting standards set for the work. TRC returned the US Fish & Wildlife offices in Tulsa to a safe, healthy and habitable environment while adhering to the strict protocols and meeting the high standards set for the government project. |
